Burton Clash Snowboard Review

The Burton Clash Snowboard is an entry level snowboard designed to give newer riders a cushy and forgiving ride that will make you feel like a champ right off the bat. The Burton Clash snowboard uses the trademarked Cruise Control technology which gives it a forgiving flex based on a low camber construction. The board also has a Negative Core Profile which means the board's core is thinner between your feet so you can really feel the snow underneath you and also allows for more torsional flex that makes a board let you "own" it. Burton turned the edges up on the nose to make it less likely to "grab" an edge while spinning. The Clash is an all-mountain freestyle board recommended for recreational riders between the weight of 80-195 pounds. Depending on where you purchase this board you will find specific recommendations for what length board you should be riding depending on your height, weight and ability.

The board is light, easy to handle and inexpensive. These are all things someone new to the sport is looking for. The last thing you want when getting into the game is an expensive board with stiff flex that beats you up all the way down the hill when learning. Another nice thing about this board is how versatile it is. You can take it in the park, ditch into the trees or bust through the bumps on it and it will treat you well. You'll rarely find a poor review of this board. As this board is designed for beginners it is definitely not recommended for advanced riders for whom it will be too soft and may actually buckle under the rigorous demands of progressive riders. Softer is better for beginner riders though.

People who have owned this board love the way this thing carves. Let's face it, any board that can help beginner riders shift from rail to rail and link those sweet S-turns will be a hot seller. This is the case with the Clash which has been very popular ever since it came out. Aside from that it uses the Lightspeed Vision base which means you won't have to wax it every time you go out.

Overall if you do some online research you will find that the Burton Clash Snowboard gets an average review of 4.5 out of 5. That indicates a winner in my eyes. This board retails for around $330 but if you are a savvy shopper you will find it for less than $200 online. If you are looking for a full set up that won't break the bank, pair this board with some Burton Freestyle bindings and Burton Ruler boots. That'll give you great bang for your buck!
